Software requirements

  • Microsoft Visio 2007 Standard or Professional Edition or Visio 2010 (32 bits) Standard or Professional or Premium Edition
    The software fully exploits Visio  2007 functions and is therefore not executable under Visio 2000 or 2003. The most recent service packs may be installed, but they are not required.
  • Windows 2003 or 2008 as server operating system, and
    Windows Vista Professional* or Windows 7 Professional* (with IIS) for desktops
  • SQL-Server 2005 or 2008**
    The SQL server is required for the process4.biz databases that you use as a repository connected with Visio 2007 or 2010 and the process4.biz client. The process4.biz database is already available to be included in the SQL Server version 2005.
  • Microsoft Office version Office 2007 or Office 2010
    The Office suite is required for the process4.biz Extensions.
  • As Microsoft Certified Partner and Microsoft ISV Royalty Partner we can offer you favourable conditions for both the SQL-Server and Visio 2007 or 2010, if they are part of a process4.biz software order.

Hardware requirements

Client requirements for process4.biz:

  • PC 1 GHz processor or more and 32 Bit (x 86) or 64 Bit (x 64) recommended
  • At least 1 GB RAM (32 Bit) and 2 GB (64 Bit) recommended, at least 250 MB free hard disk memory
  • Screen with 1024x768 resolution or higher
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or higher recommended

* We do not recommend using Windows HOME or MEDIACENTER and do not support installations using it, because it lacks web funcionalities required for some of the process4.biz Extensions.

** The process4.biz trial version automatically installs Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (Express Edition), a smaller and free version of the SQL Server. The single user version of process4.biz requires Express Edition 2005 or the proper SQL-Server. We do not recommend using Express Edition 2005 for live data, because there is no management console function included in it.
